Vos missions consisteront à:

• Assurer une veille hebdomadaire relative aux appels à projets des institutions européennes et aux fonds structurels;
• Contribuer à l'identification des besoins et opportunités de développement des structures du GROUPE SOS;
• Participer, en appui aux chefs de projets, à l'élaboration et au suivi des projets:
• analyses contextuelles (besoins, acteurs, dispositifs existants);
• définition des financements et ressources nécessaires, rédaction des éléments de candidature aux appels à projets, élaboration de rétro-plannings;
• participation à l'élaboration de budgets et business plans;
• suivi de la mise en œuvre opérationnelle;
• participation à la rédaction de rapports narratifs et financiers.

Ce stage sera pour vous l'opportunité de mettre en pratique, avec l'aide de votre tuteur, les connaissances théoriques que vous détenez.

PROFIL:

• En cours d'obtention d'un diplôme de niveau Bac+5 (IEP ou diplôme universitaire équivalent), vous avez une première expérience et/ou une formation dans la gestion de projets européens, et une bonne connaissance des programmes de financement de l'Union européenne et notamment des programmes de la politique régionale;
• Le secteur de la solidarité vous intéresse particulièrement;
• Dynamique et rigoureux, vous aimez le travail en équipe et disposez d'excellentes qualités rédactionnelles et relationnelles. Vous êtes par ailleurs force de proposition;
• Vous maîtrisez Microsoft Office;
• Vous parlez et écrivez parfaitement en français, et votre anglais (écrit et oral) est d'excellent niveau.

Internship - Communication and Design

Job Description:

As a trainee at QED you will work closely with colleagues in all stages of the “event life cycle’. The internship will ideally start on the beginning of January 2015 and last until end of June 2015. A development plan and specific tasks for this internship will be set up between QED and the interns’ University. The key responsibilities are related to the event- coordination field and will include the following:

• Updating the webpage with newly confirmed speakers, including the draft program and the agenda;
• Creating new-subpage after an event, including adding YouTube clips;
• Editing video clips from the events and upload them to YouTube;
• Creating the design for biographies and handout material;
• Creating the design for thank-you cards for speakers and partners;
• Managing the social media activity.

As a communication intern:

• You will assist in the (further) development of the social media and a new UNU-CRIS website.

Traineeship

EUISS - European Union Institute for Security Studies

From February to June 2015, the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) is providing a limited number of traineeships to candidates who have obtained their Master’s degree.

The main task of trainees will be to assist the Institute’s Analysts under the supervision of the Documentation and Research Officer, who is responsible for the programme. Work will be primarily focused on research, while certain administrative tasks may also occasionally be entrusted to trainees.

The traineeship will be for a period of 5 months, running from the beginning of February 2015 to the end of June 2015. According to the background of the selected trainees, the traineeship will be based either at the Institute’s headquarters in Paris or at the EUISS Brussels Liaison Office. Internship Description:

The Development and Outreach department of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is seeking an intern in our Brussels office. The internship will focus on event planning in the lead up to the 2015 Annual Dinner, writing acknowledgment letters and other correspondence, coordination of donor communication, donor engagement, database management, and research for development and outreach projects. The internship will start as soon as possible and last a minimum of six months.

This internship is best suited for those individuals interested in gaining experience in a large, well-organized, international non-profit organization. Interns will gain knowledge and skills in research, database management, event management, and fundraising. The intern will also learn about the organization's priority human rights issues. In order to provide a valuable and well-rounded internship experience, interns will attend planning and department meetings with staff and will have the opportunity to take advantage of in-house trainings and briefings.

Internships are unpaid. However, interns may be reimbursed for some lunch and local travel costs as pre-approved by HRW and in accordance with HRW policy. Students are often able to arrange academic credit, as HRW internships offer direct exposure to the workings of an international human rights organization, close supervision by the HRW staff, interaction with other international organizations and foreign and domestic government officials, and opportunities to attend lectures, trainings, and special events relating to human rights. Students should check with their individual academic institutions for requirements.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be detail-oriented, well-organized, self-motivated, and reliable with a strong interest in international human rights. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required. A good command of French and/or Dutch is preferable. Internet research skills and familiarity with MS Office programs, such as Word and Excel, are a must. Data entry experience and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or other databases are highly desirable. Relevant coursework is desirable.

The International Justice (“IJ”) Program of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) advises and operationalizes HRW’s activities on a range of issues relating to accountability in international criminal fora, devises strategies to obtain justice, and produces written materials to implement those strategies.

The IJ Program intern will primarily focus on monitoring international criminal law developments in targeted country situations and carrying out research on issues of international justice. Ideally, the intern would start in January and commit a minimum of four months, although six months is preferable.

This internship is unpaid. Some lunch and local travel costs may be reimbursed as pre-approved by HRW and in accordance with HRW policy. Students are often able to arrange academic credit, as HRW internships often offer direct exposure to the workings of an international human rights organization, close supervision by the HRW staff, interaction with other international organizations and foreign and domestic government officials, and opportunities to attend lectures, trainings and special events relating to human rights. Qualifications: 

This internship is open to law students, law graduates, and graduate and undergraduate students with expertise in international criminal law. Applicants should be well-organized, self-motivated, and reliable with a strong proven interest in international human rights and/or international criminal law. Knowledge of universal jurisdiction is desirable. Strong writing skills, knowledge of French, and excellent English are essential. Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, internet applications) are required.

Internship Position

AEC - European Association of Conservatories

An internship with the AEC can consist of one or more of the following components:

• Organisation: the organisation of meetings, seminars and conferences in various countries in Europe. 
• Office tasks: being part of the AEC Office and therefore contributing to the day-to-day running of the organisation.
• Research: to gather information about various topics in the field of professional music training in Europe. Examples of these topics are: quantitative and qualitative research on mobility of teachers and students in professional music training in Europe, examples of good practice of collaboration on a European level between conservatoires, cultural diversity in music education, educational systems for music education in Europe, the connection between training and the profession, etc.

An internship fee of 400€/month is provided, as well as a small compensation for travel costs based on the distance between the work place and the residence in Brussels.

Requirements

This internship is highly suitable for students in cultural management courses or in European studies, social studies, or related humanities programmes, wanting to have experience in working in a cultural organisation on European level and in working with European funding programmes in education and culture. A high level of English is required; knowledge of French, German or Italian is an asset.
